What I do While I am Sitting in Class

Work email
Fun email
Blog Surfing

Raise my hand and answer a question
Make a list of all the weekend activities going on until Christmas
Count to 100
Take some notes
Wish I had brought something, anything to eat for dinner
Talk myself into staying past break
Talk myself into leaving after break
Leave after break.

Oh yeah...I did. And it was amazing.

Oh, I so feel you on this! Sometimes to get through boring classes, I would play a little game with myself called 10-Second Giraffe.

I'd basically look at the clock and see how good a giraffe I could draw in ten seconds. It's curiously addictive! I'd end up filling pages with the little guys, and I actually got quite decent at it. (Though I never fully mastered 10-Second Hippopotamus...)

This is the greatest post. I have SOOOO been there. Sometimes, the only thing that got me through was the prospect of a veggie and dip tray from the weird snack bar. Oh Carlson...how I do NOT miss you....

I used to trail off to sleepy land. During this I was still taking notes, but my hand would stop moving across the page and the words would "stack up" vertically. Do you know how hard it is to read notes that have been stacked?

You go Gert!! Old dad only attended about 50% of his classes...In fact, when I went to take my Anatomy and Physiology Final, the prof actually asked me if I was in his class, or if I was a ringer...:) Gotta love it.
Have a great day!
