Lucy, our incredibly old, yet endearing cat is a hair monster. It is starting to be unreasonable. I’m not sure what it is about her old age that has made her hair thicken (don’t old people usually get thin hair?), but it has.
You can now pull her hair out in tufts without her really even knowing it. Weird.
Well, the time has come for action, and Nate's friend at work gave us her amazing cat brush to try out.
THE FURMINATOR
Yup, that is its name...and this is the result

WOAH that's a lot of cat hair!
oh man, it must have been so SATISFYING grooming all of that hair out!
Hey, maybe you can knit a Lucy sweater for the next Grand Baby....
Dad
WOWWEEEEE! Lucy must have Loved It! Now she will live for another 20 years! Love, Mom
Is that a photo of her _playing_ with her own ball of fur?
No Alex, Lucy is too old to 'play' anymore. Usually twice a year right before bedtime she'll get excited enough to bat and paw at Greta. This photo was highly staged with Greta and I herding her just outside the shot.
Greta you could knit up a whole new kitten if you and your buds had stayed focused and learned to knit...

IT MAY DIETARY...OR MAYBE IT'S A PREDICTION OF THE WINTER TO COME!!!! YIPES!!!! TOF
My goodness! I've never seen so much fur come out from a cat. At least not as a fur ball. LOL!
But really... cleaning that much hair must be quite a chore!
