Ok people...
Nate and I both don't ever get flu shots. I'm not sure Nate's reason, but mine is that I never get the flu. That is of course until last winter. BUT, last winter EVERYONE got sick because the flu shot didn't work, and I blame me getting sick on everyone else already being sick. (Poor logic I know).
Apparently Nate is experiencing some hardcore pressure at Target to get the shot, but really doesn't want to get it.
So, what do you all think?
Get the shot or not?

My vote is yes! (if no egg allergy)
Have had one for many years with no side affects.
GL is very strongly requesting 100% of employees to receive flu shot.

My immune system is much too busy with my lower GI tract to worry about the flu. Guaranteed I would get the flu if I took that shot, I vote NO.
i've gotten it for several years just because i take care of so many kids everyday. my kids and dan have all always gotten it as well, and we've avoided major illness for all years in recent memory. emily got a flu shot a few years ago and was more sick that year than any other. i know of many who load up on herbal supps instead and swear by it. i still vote yes.
Actually...I like INVENTED the flu shot...so I say YES (greta...I hope I havent been gone so long that you didnt pick up that joke...)
and it is actually an old wives tale (ok...probably not so old since the flu shot is relativly new...) that you can actually get the flu from the flu shot. That is actually impossible.
And I really do not want the person that is going to cook me dinner to be infected...See you both soon! Love and miss.
THE IOWAN SAYS YES...AND OUR HOSPITAL STRONGLY(FORCES)SUGGESTS THAT EVERYONE GET ONE..IT'S A 50-50 DEAL...I'VE GONE BOTH WAYS AND SOMETIMES HAVE BEEN A VICTUM OF THE FLU BUT THEN LOOK WHERE I WORK...JUST REMEMBER TO ALWAYS YOUR HANDS, WASH YOUR HANDS!!!..BE A MAN NATE...IT'S ONLY A LITTLE NEEDLE.....
The flu shot is just another way big brother is programming you. They put tiny receivers into each shot so they can talk to you. yup the flu shot cocktail is a best guess at what is coming across the land but, even if they miss, and you get sick it may lessen the effects. WASH YOUR HANDS EARLY AND OFTEN! Get the shot and wear a tin foil hat to block the broadcasts.

They say "having a baby changes everything." Well, it's changed my actions regarding the flu shot. I've always been a naysayer about the shot - think it's a bogus, ineffective, ploy by the pharma lobbyists. I've declined it as long as I could. Now I'll gladly take the possible side-effects if I can help keep my little boy healthy and happy. But I need to decide if he should get his flu shot &/or other vaccines due to possible side effects.
